The Hand-painted Folding Fan is created around the curved shape, fold lines, and rib positions of a real folding fan. Instead of copying a flat picture directly, the composition is adjusted so that the main subject remains clear when the fan is open and the lines still look natural when it is closed.

The surface can be made from xuan paper, sized xuan paper, or natural silk. The material may be selected according to the painting subject, pigment effect, and expected use frequency. Artists use hand outlining, color separation, layered shading, light color work, or freehand painting to create flowers, birds, landscapes, figures, and calligraphy. Mineral pigments, plant-based colors, and partial gold decoration are also available.

Structure and Personalized Content

The rib length is approximately 20–33 cm, with an expanded width of about 35–60 cm. Bamboo, wood, rosewood, or ebony ribs can be selected. Opening tension, outer-rib thickness, and pivot construction may be confirmed according to daily use, decorative display, collection, or gifting needs.

Customization can include artwork, calligraphy, signatures, commemorative dates, themed colors, and gift-box inner pages. Before production, the team confirms the surface size, subject, palette, text, line drawing, color sample, and signature position. This process helps reduce spelling errors, misplaced details, and inconsistent visual styles.

Production Checks and Order Handling

Zhimu Hand Painting supports OEM, ODM, supplied designs, and prototype-based production. The Hand-painted Folding Fan is suitable for cultural gifts, wedding keepsakes, traditional clothing brands, art activities, and creative cultural collections.

After materials and artwork are approved, a painted sample usually takes 3–5 days. A sampling fee applies and can be deducted from the formal order. Production checks cover the base material, line drawing, colors, written content, opening structure, surface flatness, and packaging. Every item is fully inspected before packing, and image or video updates can be provided.

The painted surface should not contact water, perfume, alcohol, or oily stains. Users should hold the ribs when opening or closing the fan and avoid pulling the surface directly. Slight differences in brushwork and color are normal features of hand painting.
